Toussaint coffee Liqueur

Toussaint Coffee Liqueur is a true Espresso coffee liqueur that is high on flavour and low on sugar

Toussaint is an espresso flavoured liqueur from Haiti created from natural tropical ingredients found in Haiti such as coffee, cocoa, vanilla, and liquorices. After steeping in spirits to reach 26.5% it is naturally sweetened. Toussaint Liqueur de Cafe, is a dry coffee liqueur, with an alcoholic strength of 26.5%. It contains only 250 grams of sugar per liter compared to 490gram in Kahlua & 340grams in Tia Maria.

What I love most about Toussaint is that a Mixologist when I mix a cocktail with Kahlua or Tia Maria that cocktail will always be sweet. When using Toussaint I get to control how sweet I want the Cocktail to be, the flavour is intensely espresso.

Toussaint Liqueur is named after the famous Haitian soldier and statesman, General Toussaint L'Ouverture, who was born in 1743 on the North West coast of the French Caribbean Island colony of Saint Domingue, the western part of which became the second independent republic in the western hemisphere in 1804: Haiti.

Prior to that date, the hero of Haitian independence, Toussaint L'Ouverture, (L'Ouverture being an addition to his name because he always found an opening to attack opposing armed forces), successfully challenged the might of Napoleon. Napoleon eventually appointed Toussaint Governor General of Saint Domingue, but later abducted him to France, where he was imprisoned in Fort de Joux in the Jura Mountains and where Toussaint, this remarkable leader, sometimes known as 'Napoleon Noir', died in 1803.
